Long Pham

QA Automation Manager at Paramount

I lead a global automation team and build tools that help engineers test software, investigate failures, and use AI in their daily work.

Selected work

Three examples of what I’ve built and how it’s used.

Paramount · Across my tenure

Test systems used across teams

I built a Java framework to check data across Roku, Android and web. A required Jenkins check runs several times daily for multiple teams.

400+Web data tests automated

Selected work at Paramount, June 2021–present. No quantified reduction in defects is claimed.

What I built

  • Independently built a Java data-validation framework using Selenium and Appium.
  • Automated 400+ web data tests, with validation across Roku, Android and web.
  • Established a required Jenkins build gate used by multiple teams several times daily.
  • Centralized the test repository and supported collaboration across time zones.

What the results show

The test count and daily use show the scope and adoption of the system. Defect reduction is not quantified in the source résumés.

How I investigate missed issues

When an issue escapes, I review results across environments to find the earliest detection and understand why it was not escalated. Human review confirms whether a signal is a real issue. This describes my investigation practice; it does not mean every escalation gap has been resolved.

Paramount · Across my tenure

AI tools engineers use every day

I built and maintain an AI agent that helps the automation team diagnose failures, repair tests and write new ones.

Daily useBy every engineer on the automation team

No quantified time savings or autonomous production fixes are claimed.

More than the tool

  • Created a customizable workflow template connecting ticketing, test-case management and chat.
  • Developed reusable skills—saved instructions for repeatable tasks—for Cursor, Claude and GitHub Copilot.
  • Ran workshops and created guides and templates to help the team adopt these tools.

What I can demonstrate

The agent is used daily by every engineer on the automation team. That is an adoption result. The source résumés do not provide measured time savings, model accuracy or employer return on investment.

Human review

Human review verifies real issues before escalation. The agent supports diagnosis, repair and test creation; this portfolio does not claim autonomous production fixes.

Rebuilt Battle.net test automation

As Senior Test Analyst, I rebuilt front-end automation for the account and login systems behind Battle.net Identity.

3×Front-end test coverage
−75%Automation runtime

Compared with the previous suite. Original test counts and run times are not provided.

My responsibility

Senior Test Analyst, February 2020–June 2021. I owned QA for Battle.net Identity: account creation, login, settings, recovery, OAuth and authentication APIs.

What changed

  • Rebuilt front-end automation, increasing coverage to three times the previous baseline.
  • Reduced automation runtime by 75%, leaving it at 25% of the previous runtime.
  • Created email notifications driven by telemetry—data collected from the system.

Reading the numbers

These are relative results: coverage went from 1× to 3×, and runtime from 100% to 25%. The résumés do not supply original test counts or elapsed minutes, so none are inferred.
